VISWASS
VIShwakarma Welfare ASSociation (VISWASS), an association of educated, employed & entrepreneurs of Vishwakarma community were formed in 2003, with the aim of serving the community in the field of education, employment, self-employment, and recognizing the Vishwakarma’s those who are worked for our society etc. It is a non-political, non-profitable, service-oriented organization formed by well-developed people who have come forward voluntarily to pave the way for better future of our community.
This association also served as a platform for Vishwakarma’s from various fields to get introduced among themselves.
VISWASS believes that only the educational progress of the backward people of our community will lead their prosperous life for which we introduced a lot of programs such as VISWASS VIDHYA for the students
We are providing merit-based financial assistance to the students of Vishwakarma community completed 10th class & +2 to pursue their higher studies in Engineering, Diploma and Arts.
We are providing
- ₹40000 for engineering,
- ₹22500 for diploma and
- ₹15000 for arts and science students.
This scholarship is distributed in the form of ₹10000, ₹7500, ₹5000 in each academic year respectively.
Funds for this are raised through our community’s philanthropists. Scholarships are awarded to the eligible students on the stage during VISWASS Vidhya function.
Students of our community who secure top three places and best marks in public examinations in Govt and private schools are awarded and honoured during this function. Academic guidance workshops are conducted from time to time for Class X and Plus 2 students to score high marks and students are offered free guidance on further studies!
One of the prominent personalities in our community is awarded the prestigious Maha Vishwakarma SHRI Award every year for their lifetime achievement in their field and interest shown in the development of our community.
Viswass Vivaha: A free matrimonial information service centre is being conducted every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vishwakarma Kalyana Mandapam, Pollachi, to help them in their search for a bridegroom or groom during the marriageable age of their children.
Viswass Udyog: Under the project, seminars & workshops for entrepreneurs are conducted from time to time with the help of government officials. VISWASS also provides referrals to industrial companies for job-seeking youth who approach us.
Viswass Ladies: Our community ladies are regularly participating in spiritual and social work.
Viswass Tourism; The VISWASS Family Tour is conducted every year to promote good understanding and harmony among the Vishwakarma families
VISWASS has been providing a helping hand, including financial assistance, in order to encourage other sister organisations working for the betterment of our community.
